Elizabeth’s Story at the Shepherd’s Pantry

Elizabeth came to the Shepherd's Pantry receive food, as her part-time work wasn't enough to put food on her table. She was elated and thanked all the volunteers for their help. She exclaimed "Everyone here has a smile for us, and genuinely loves us! Regardless if we are short, tall, rich or poor, they all love us equally!!" She had been an addict 3 years ago when first visiting the pantry. "I was a mess back then" she shared. "With the unconditional love I received back then, I started listening to your counselors and started taking responsibility for myself. Now I'm proud to say that I'm a recovering addict, and am proud to be here to pick out new clothing for a new job" stated Elizabeth. She could not help but thank all those around her for making her new life possible.
