This agency provides the community with food from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The only requirements to receive TEFAP food are as follows:
- Must reside in LA County.
- Must self-certify that you meet or fall below the TEFAP Income Guideline.
- Must complete the information on the TEFAP sign-in sheet.
No identification is required for food provided by the TEFAP program.
However, Shepherd’s Pantry also provides additional services that require proof of address (e.g., driver’s license, household bill) or ID verification for all household members (e.g., ID card, passport, medical records, birth certificates). If you wish to receive additional services, you must meet the requirements listed above and complete the forms indicated below.
While all necessary forms are available at each Shepherd’s Pantry location, completing them before the visit will expedite it. Please bring verification for all household members on your first visit. To learn more, read our FAQs page here.
