Case Management Services

We appreciate that our community often needs additional support to find employment, social services and housing assistance. When conducting a Needs Survey during 2020 and 2021, clients expressed their frustrations and concerns with all the changes happening around them.

To address individual needs in a more personal way, we have funded a full-time Case Manager position to meet with people. This professional is working closely with volunteer Resource Counselors at all three pantry locations, to provide the help that is needed, whether it’s in employment, housing, emergency funds or need for social service support.

Sometimes people find themselves at a loss not knowing how to use a computer, how to live within their means or how to find employment. Shepherd’s Pantry has built an Opportunity Room to begin educating and supporting adults in small groups. 2022 will see the development of community partnerships and new ways to provide personal support, job assistance and a Faith & Finance Class. Tutoring and other group services to help people in their path towards self-sufficiency are also utilizing this new space.
