In addition to providing Resource Counseling on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, some clients receive additional support with finding employment, accessing additional resources, and organizing their personal situations in order to take the next steps towards self-sufficiency. Clients are encouraged to ask about this service when visiting with their Resource Counselor. We have volunteers on-hand to meet with clients one-on-one in a semi-private environment to discuss their needs and offer whatever assistance we can provide beyond food and clothing.
Many times our volunteers are able to offer resource materials or suggestions for dealing with a particular situation that may be of help to our clients. Our goal is to be as helpful as we can and to assist clients in finding solutions to some of their challenges. Our clients have found this service to be very helpful and encouraging.
Wednesday / Thursday 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Being a Christian faith-based organization we offer prayer support for all of our clients when they come for food. This is offered on an individual private basis and optional for the client.

Each year the Pantry provides toys for children 0-12 years of age to our pre-registered families. The Christmas Toy Store is usually the second Sunday in December. Contact us for details.
We appreciate that our community often needs additional support to find employment, social services and housing assistance. When conducting a Needs Survey during 2020 and 2021, clients expressed their frustrations and concerns with all the changes happening around them.
To address individual needs in a more personal way, we have funded a full-time Case Manager position to meet with people. This professional is working closely with volunteer Resource Counselors at all three pantry locations, to provide the help that is needed, whether it’s in employment, housing, emergency funds or need for social service support.
Sometimes people find themselves at a loss not knowing how to use a computer, how to live within their means or how to find employment. Shepherd’s Pantry has built an Opportunity Room to begin educating and supporting adults in small groups. 2022 will see the development of community partnerships and new ways to provide personal support, job assistance and a Faith & Finance Class. Tutoring and other group services to help people in their path towards self-sufficiency are also utilizing this new space.
We offer different ways to support our efforts including food, clothing and monetary donations. We have many volunteer opportunities and ways to give back through our services.
